In view of the proposed construction of subway at MC Road railway crossing, near the Government Stanley Hospital, the existing water mains have been shifted away from the subway alignment. In order to effect supply through the rerouted main, it is proposed to take up the interconnection work with the existing main at the junction of MC Road and Cemetery Road on 03.04.2008 by taking shut down of piped water supply on the day of the interconnection work. Consequently, there won’t be piped water supply on 03.04.2008 for the public residing in Divisions 14 to 22 in Area II, Divisions 9,12,13 and part of Divisions 4,5,6,7,8, 10 and 11 of Area I.
