v     Payments of water/sewer Taxes and charges for the First Half-year of 2005-06 are due now and the last date is 31.08.2005.

v     To avoid last minute rush and inconvenience, immediate payment is advised.

q       59 specified collection centres in Depots

Ø     Defaulters will have to

§        Pay surcharge at 1.25% per month

§        Face disconnection of service connections and

§        Distraint of properties under Revenue Recovery Act.

PROMPT PAYMENT OF TAXES BY ASSESSEES AND CONSUMERS WILL ENTAIL INCOME TAX RELIEF UNDER SEC,24(6) OF INCOME TAX ACT 1961.  THIS WILL ALSO ENABLE METROWATER TO MAINTAIN ITS SERVICES.
