Chennai Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board’s Depot Office 5 is now functioning at No.1, Seniamman Koil First Lane, Tondiarpet, Chennai-600 021. This will be shifted to the Office of the Tondiarpet ‘D’ Pumping Station at Cross Road, Tondiarpet, Chennai 600 021 from 17.07.2007 onwards.
The public in Division 5 are requested to approach for their grievances to the Tondiarpet ‘D’ Pumping Station at Cross Road, Tondiarpet, Chennai 600 021 from 17.07.2007 onwards.

Metrowater has proposed to take up Major repair work in 1200 mm dia Sewage force main at Ellaya muthali street jn of Vaithia Nathan bridge in Tondiarpet from 28.03.2007 morning to 30.03.2007 morning. Due to this it is likely that sewage will surcharge in the areas such as R.K. Nagar, Old washermenpet, New Washermenpet, Korukkupet, V.O.C Nagar and Royapuram.
The Board has proposed to Remove the surcharge and over flow sewage by using sewer lorries in the above areas during these days and also has taken all precautionary measures to avoid over flow of sewage.
