Chennai Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board has proposed to replace the damaged 1200 mm dia delivery main at Tondiarpet ‘F’ (New) Pumping Station inside the pumping station campus. The work will be carried out from 9.00 a.m. on 15.02.2010 and will be completed by 12.00 noon on 16.02.2010. During this period, the pumping stations at Tondiarpet, Royapuram, Old Washermenpet, New Washermenpet, VOC Nagar, Seniamman Koil street and G.M. Pettai areas will be shut down and there may be some sewer surcharge condition in the low lying areas.
Consumers are requested to contact Area Engineer-I (9445061901) and Area Engineer II (9445061902) for arranging the remedial measures in case of sewage over flows in these areas.
