ISLAND GROUND TOURIST FAIR – AT THE METRO WATER PAVILION WATER QUALITY TESTING FACILITY – CONCESSIONAL RATE –

            Chennai Metro Water has put up its Pavilion at the 36^th India  Tourist and Industrial Fair 2009-2010 at Island ground. In the interest of the General Public, Metro Water has arranged to receive ground water samples at the Metro Water Pavilion for assess the quality of the ground water samples received from the visitors.

            The Public are requested to make use of this facility daily from 4.00 p.m. to 8.00 p.m. and get the ground water samples from their Open wells / Bore wells tested and know the water quality at concessional rate. They are requested to bring the water samples to be tested in a 2 litre clean bottles / plastic containers.

            The following parameters will be tested in the Water Analysis Laboratory. situated at No.1, New Avadi Road, Kilpauk, Chennai-600 010.The public may collect their water quality results from the above address after ten working days or through Post office by paying Rs.5/- extra.

PARAMETERS TO BE TESTED IN THE LABORATORY

1. Total Alkalinity                                           7. Ammoniacal Nitrogen

2. Total Hardness                                          8. Albuminoid Nitrogen

3. Calcium Hardness                                    9. Nitrate

4. Calcium                                                      10. Iron

5. Magnesium                                                11. Phosphate

6. Chlorides                                                   12. Fluoride

                                                                        13. Specific conductance

Public are requested to make use of this opportunity available in the

Tourist Trade Fair at Metro Water Pavilion, Island Ground. The above physical and chemical parameters will be tested at a concessional cost of Rs.50/- for each sample given in the  Trade Fair at Island Ground. On request, the test report will also be sent through Post Office  by paying an extra Rs.5/- with their  clear Postal Address (and Telephone Number, if any).

            In order to test the above parameters, Rs.75/- for individual houses and Rs.200/- for flats and Institutions will be collected for each water samples given at the Water Analysis Laboratory, Quality Assurance Wing, Chennai Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board, Kilpauk.
