 IN VIEW OF ENSUING MONSOON PERIOD PUBLIC ARE REQUESTED TO BOIL WATER BEFORE USE

            Protected water is being supplied to the public through pipe line on alternate days. For the defected street and unserved areas, water is supplied through tankers. For the benefits of Below Poverty line people and in slum areas, Public Fountains are provided in specific areas in the City. In these places public are advised to draw water only for drinking and cooking. Public are also advised not to use the Public Fountains for bathing, washing and other purposes and also not to dump garbages near the Public Fountains.                 

            In places, where the intermittent water supply is made through pipes, drawing water through hand pumps during non supply hours would draw residual water in the pipe line, which would be turbid and also may emanate pipe material odour. Therefore, public are advised not to draw water through hand pump during non supply hours and instead contact the respective Depot Engineers and Area Engineers for their water requirements.

             In view of the ensuing monsoon period, as an abundant caution, public are advised to boil the water before drinking. The public are also advised to contact the following telephone numbers for any grievances regarding quality of water.
