Chennai Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board has proposed to carry out interconnection work in the water trunk main at Poonamallee High Road near Nehru Park for constructing Chennai Metro Rail Station

He further stated that the work of carrying out interconnections in 1050mm trunk water main at Poonamallee High Road near Nehru Park to facilitate construction of underground Metro Rail Station is proposed to be undertaken from 9.00 AM on 22.01.2012 and up to 4.00 PM on 23.01.2012. During the above period there may be interruption in water supply at Egmore, part of Chetpet, part of Chintadripet and part of Triplicane areas. Co-operation of the local public is solicited. If any water supply is affected, the following officers may be contacted for arranging water supply through lorries.
