Chennai Metrowater issues consumer cards for payment of water
& sewerage tax and water supply and sewerage service charges to all
the consumers, which provides for details of the name and address of the
consumer, category and the details of payments, etc.
This card serves as a demand notice and it covers a period
of 5 years from I/2005-06 to II/2009-10. As the present card, which was
issued to the consumers for the period from April 2000, expires by March
2005, Metrowater is issuing new cards to all the consumers for the above
period in all Depot offices. For
this purpose, the following arrangements have been made by Chennai Metrowater:-
1)
The New Cards will be issued
in all Depot Offices at free of
cost.
2)
Cards will not be issued at the Area Offices.
3)
The New Cards will be issued based on the production of
old cards or latest paid receipt of Water & Sewer tax/charges.
If the consumer was not issued or received with any card earlier,
the new card will be issued with reference to the Chennai Municipal Corporation
Tax Book.
4)
The details in the New Cards has been furnished with the
latest information available in Metrowater.
In case of any change is required, the consumer can get them
changed by furnishing relevant details/documents when they come for payment
for the I/2005-06 from April 2005 onwards.
5)
The consumers are requested to get the New Cards before
the end of 31.01.2005.
