TWINNING ARRANGEMENT CONSULTANCY

The Twinning Consultancy was taken up with the aim to develop the management, planning , operation & maintenance capabilities of CMWSS Board and to ensure that it is operated in the most efficient and cost effective manner as possible. The work was  taken up by the consultant M/s. Compagnie Generale Des Eaux . The Twinning consultancy is in  two Phases (ie) Phase I -. Diagnostic study  and  Phase II – Implementation Year I and Year II & III 

 Phase-I   :  Diagnostic Study :

The  diagnostic study commenced in Sep 2000 and completed in March 2001.

 Phase-II  : Implementation

After the diagnostic period 25 activities were taken up for implementation during Phase-II Year-I and 24 activities were completed  and one activity was carried over to Year 2 & 3 study. 12 activities were further taken up for implementation during Phase II year 2&3  from Sep 2002 onwards.  The most important among them are :

Study on existing Well fields  and the raw water conduits

Refurbishment of Kilpauk Water Treatment plant
